Volunteering Opportunities

Almost 60% of our team are volunteers providing support to thousands of people in the Aberdeen area. These roles are extremely rewarding and develop key skills which can be taken forward into future employment.

We are always looking for new volunteers to help us out in our mission to support citizens in the community.

You can read about some of our volunteers experiences here Volunteers Week

Volunteer at Aberdeen Citizens Advice

The initial process of becoming a volunteer generally starts with a first expression of interest or receipt of an application form. The next step, particularly for those interested in becoming Volunteer Advisers is to take part in a Volunteer Open Day.

Our Open Days which we hold approximately every 2-3 months are a chance for us to give you more information on what it means to be a volunteer with Citizens Advice, the range of potential volunteering roles available, and the time, effort, and commitment that is required of those roles. It also gives you a chance to ask any questions you may have about becoming a volunteer and gives you the information you need to make an informed decision as to whether volunteering with Citizens Advice is right for you.

If you are still interested in becoming a volunteer, we will be happy to get in touch to let you know when we will be holding our next Open Day. You can download a copy of our application form which you can complete and return if you have not already done so or apply online.

If you have any further questions regarding volunteering with us in the meantime, please feel free to get in touch.
